Object Entry Not Functioning

Ok, so the neighbors of my new 'group owned' land have objects that are entering my land.

On one side I have several trees from the sim next door and on another I have a chunk of house from the same sim.

I've disabled object entry and I set autoreturn to 1.

And nothing happens...

What am I not doing right? Or is this part of the Asset Server issue?

sounds like the root of the linked prims is still on their land so can`t be returned

ask them to move it or rez a box on your land in their house, that will get their attention

sometimes ppl have a hard time judging where the plot line is, or they do not have plot lines turned on

what I did when someone next to me was not sure if they were overlapping is I explained to them how to turn on the plot line
then I made a 10 by 10 by .010 size box and places it right to the edge of my side of the plot line, then if needed raised it up to their house level so they could see how much over they were

they were very thankful for that

The first thing to do is ask the neighbors to move the prims. It helps prevent hard feelings and it's always better if someone else does the work (finding the border and moving objects) for you ;)

If this fails or you get snarled at, then AR the prims. It make take a few weeks, but eventually LL does come along and removes them.

Disabling object entry doesn't prevent objects from entering group owned land - or it didn't not long ago. There's a bug report about it, but it's old and doesn't appear to be a priority.

I IM'd the owner of the house (and the owner of the trees, but no response from him).

She just bought the land and doesn't know how to move the house. And she bought the land especially for the house. She is really worried about doing anything to change the house and wanted to hire her builder friend to tell her what to do.

So last night I agreed to design around it and/or integrate it into my landscape. This part freaked her out too, because she thought that meant I was going to modify her house. Well yes, but no. I was going to elimnate the 'floating foundation' and make it look like it should be there. And use my prim resources to do it!

But this morning, I had an even better idea. A land swap. My 256sqm for her's on the next parcel over. (This should be part of the sell feature.)

Another neighbor and I agreed to take down our walls and open the space up.

I guess I should mention it's beach land, and floating buildings and advertisments aren't the type of ambience that some of us want.

So the owner wants to know why we can't just leave it like this. Well because I own the land, that's why!! And floating foundations entering my land aren't why I bought it.

She's rejecting the land swap, because her husband is going to build a skybox.

I'm this >< close to sectioning off part of the land so that I can ban her from her from her own house.

Or you could simply raise a solid black cube within your land boundries, but through that part of her house to show her where the parcel boundries are.

As it's her house over the line, an AR from her to LL will result in her house being returned.

Just be sure to keep your prims on your land.

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

I had a jungle wall along the border that cut through her house. But in the spirit of compromise, I removed it.

But since she's being difficult and doesn't seem willing to compromise, I'm no longer in the mood to compromise either. Although an AR will be the last resort from me.

But object entry is definitley now turned off along her border, just in case her husbands new skyranch decides to creep over the line too!
