lost inventory items

i have 7000+ items in my inventory,i was programming a dance ball so i had two inventory windows open,when i was finished i closed one inventory window but now my inventory shows 5101,
2000 items vanished,does anyone know how i would get them back or are they lost forever

Impossible to say at this stage. Did you try clearing cache? It's the obvious thing to try first. If that does not help, raise a ticket.

I once had the case that my complete library disappeared from inventory. Clearing cache did not help in that case. I raised a ticket and after about one week the library was back.

Thanks i did clear the cache and i put a ticket into support shortly afterwards.still waiting for their reply

nikita, stupid question here, but I hope you checked the contents of the dance ball(s) you were working on, as well as nearby objects?

Many many folks have accidentally transferred chunks of inventory to unsuspecting plants etc..

You might also try deleting SL's cache, which forces a complete cache rebuild, and thus sometimes coughs up lost items. On a PC, the cache is in SL's Application Data folder. Just delete the entire folder named "cache".
