Recently, a friend mentioned he could not see the Owner or Creator on two objects he'd made. I have been having the same problem on things I've made and also items made by other people. I use an Intel-based OS X 5.x Mac, my friend uses an XP Home svp 2 Windows PC.
Anyone else having this problem?
PS. this problem does not prevent Editing of that item, when permitted to do so.

This is something that happens sometimes when Second Life is lagging. I think slow communication with the asset servers can be a cause.

Thanks, Amity. That suggests not Editing, if the Asset Server can't tell you who owns or created something. It may also not record changes properly, if at all...

From: Victoria Wheeler Thanks, Amity. That suggests not Editing, if the Asset Server can't tell you who owns or created something. It may also not record changes properly, if at all... One of the problems that sometimes goes along with the inability to retrieve creator/owner information is that sometimes edits are not saved properly. You edit something on screen, and a few seconds later, it snaps back to the way it was before. Those problems do tend to go hand-in-hand.
