Do you have to be friends with someone in order to teleport them. For example-say you are dancing some where and you want to go to another location. Does the other person have to be added to your friends or can you just click on to the other person's profile and choose "Teleport"?
I ask this because I feel a lot of men use this as a way to become your friend when you may really not want them to be your friend.

No, you don't have to be Friends (and offering the teleport doesn't make you Friends).

If you are talking about being able to see and use the "Offer Teleport" button on their profile, a few things will enable that:
1) you will see it for all of your friends
2) you will see it for all people that did not check the "make my online status available only to my friends and groups" on the Communication tab of their Preferences
3) if you enable "View Admin Options", you will see it for everyone.
So, likewise, another person will see it on your profile if you are Friends, or if you do not have that option checked in your Preferences, or if they have enabled the "View Admin Options".

Yeah....that's what I thought. The men are using this as a way to become the ladies friend without her wanting that. Sly little devils they are but....we women are just a tad bit smarter.

It might not be a ploy. A lot of people don't know about the Admin options trick, and think the only way to enable the TP option is to have that person on your Friends list.
