Hello there,
Sorry if this issue is too stupid or if it was already in this forum. Sincerely, I couldnt find nothing about that.
I would like to know how resize clothes, specially skirts. I bought some skirts but I messed up all them because I dont know how resize it. I went top edit mode and then stretcht, getting each little square and moving it. But, since I dont know how those squares works, I lost my skirt.
If someone here can explain to me how resize or give me a URL or manual where I can learn it, I will try save my skirt. I had to work on original because copy is not allowed.
thank you very much in advance, Aniela Szondi

obviously you know it has to be editable, otherwise you can not do anything heh working on a non copy is hard, however if you mess up just contact the designer they might send you a new one (I make mine no copy, with mod and xfer, if someone im'd to tell me they booboo'd I would send them another skirt, np as for resizing it I would suggest play around with some prims first, get a little familar with working with the tools, then attempt it with the skirt it is not so much something to be explained as it is something to be practiced (according to your post you already know the basics, grab the little grey square and drag it slowly) best to resize when wearing it (obviously hehe) being it is not copy, I am guessing it is transferable... you could always ask someone to do it for you, transfer it to them, give them your body info (torso and leg info should do it) so they can match your shape, or if the shape is copy/transfer, send them a copy to work on then they can resize and send it back to you (and when you are done resizing any attachment, take it off and put it back on to save the changes)

The squares are the resizing tools for prim parts like the skirts you have. If you have lost it, you may have just made it too small and can't see it because it's inside you. To find it, you'll have to [alt][click] aim your camera at something next to your avatar and move it inside yourself to be able to edit it again. Once you get back to edit... You can try the squares again... Be careful how you drag them, if you move outside the line, it goes to a snap-to-grid mode that makes very big changes very fast. (>_< This is all assuming that you're wearing the skirt when you're adjusting it... If you need more help, let me make a shameless plug for NCI Kuula... You can find it in search or on the map. It's almost guaranteed that you'll find a good helper there at any time. (^_^)y

I'd just like to add that if you didn't know (not sure from your post) you can also check the box 'stretch from both sides' that you will find on the right of 'Position, Rotate, etc. Then, when you stretch dragging one little grey square, everything will move at the same time. You can try this on a cube 1st if you want.

even if you do not check the stretch both sides, everything will still move at the same time when you click and drag the little grey box (resizing tool)
the little grey one just means it is linked prims (otherwise on a single prim you get the color coded ones)
the stretch both sides does exactly what it says, stretches it in both directions when you resize
playing around with prims is a good way to learn these things
adjusting clothing just takes practice (lots of it) heh

Thank you very much for so quick replies. In fact, I think store owners are not working together anymore, so I wont have any reply. I sent a notecard to them asking help for another clothe I bought there and didnt got any reply. Fortunaly I could fix the problem by myself (was a cravate attached to chest and then it take off my necklace. I tried attach it to stomac but I found is not a good place, so finaly I tried spine and worked). I will have to take a time to try fix my skirt, At least now I know I am doing the right thing, I mean dragging little squares. BTW, they are some designers who use to put clothes/jewerly twice in package when its not allowed to copy, but you can mod and transfer. Its a nice thing from them, so you have always a backup. Thank you very much again! Regards, Aniela

In case you were not aware of this product: There is a script for sale on SLX, that makes it possible to let the customer resize clothes, jewellery and such even when it is NO MOD. It's called "The Prim Resizer", and this is the URL to the product page: http://slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=282300I have it in my favorites list, and will buy it whenever / if I ever start making things that could need to be adjusted by the customer after purchase. It only cost L500, and if you are planning on selling anything you make at all, you earn that back as soon as you start selling your own products. I do not know the creator of this product, and this is only meant as a friendly advice.
