Here on the forums, you could:
Put your store info in your signature. Brief is best, so as not to annoy people with an overly long sig. Your store name and a SLURL, and maybe a short description if it's not immediately obvious what you sell. Post an announcement of your store in the Shopping forum (under classifieds). /113/1.html Post announcements and pictures of your new products in the New Products forum (also under classifieds). /117/1.html --- Another suggestion is to make your products available on SL shopping websites like SL Exchange (slexchange.com). Perhaps pay a little extra to have a particular product highlighted, and be sure to put a SLURL for your store in the info for each product. (A lot of people like to window shop on SLX, but will actually go to your store to do the buying.) _____________________

Also include a picture, and you might change the name of the pick to start with an asterisk so it will be first on the list. (If you need more help with this, especially with the picture, just ask. )_____________________

Also fill in your classifieds tab in your profile which will show up when people run a classifieds search in-world.

1) List your products on SLX & onrez - make sure that you include the location of your store. Have multiple pictures available, pictures sell products.
2) Have your store in your profile picks. Make sure the picture shows your store or you highest quality item. Rewrite your profile description to remove anything obnoxious and too personal. Especially don't put anything along the lines of "DO NOT IM ME FOR CUSTOM WORK OR IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS." Nothing turns off customers quicker than a creator profile that tells them to go away because the creator just can't be bothered. 3) List your store in Places - make sure the picture is good and shows your wares. No logos or artsy, show people what you are selling. 4) List in classifieds - same picture rules. make sure your description is interesting and enticing. 5) Use a banner on your forum signature and participate in several forums. 6) Make your store interesting and welcoming. Put out chairs and make it clear that people are welcome to hang out. Think about some creative way to get them to stay longer on your property - a zen garden, a pond, wine bar, art gallery, sculpture garden. 7) Locate your store in a strong retail area. Look for other stores that are drawing good customer traffic. Most people who TP to a store will also check out the surrounding stores. _____________________

I was amazed to see all the tarffic I was having in one of my stores because I had one Lucky chair. Those Lucky Chair groups wear loacation HUDs and spend hours running across the grid looking for those chair freebies. Look into the chair and getthing the free HUD so your in the network.

I've found classifieds to be by far the best way to get shoppers to my store:
Pick a product or set of products that best represent what your store offers, or which you believe will be of the highest demand. Provide a good picture that shows off one or more of these products and then take some time to write a good description. While it is good to put in a lot of keywords to classifieds, you only make your ad look a mess if you put them all at the end. In my ads I try to put relevant words into the description in as clear and concise a way as possible. The key thing is to make sure the keywords are as specific to your ad as possible, with a few more general ones for people who aren't looking specifically for your stuff. With a well-constructed classified you won't need to pay much, however, to make your ad work best you should combine it with some other advertising. For example as Zog states, you could try an event to introduce your product to a few people who may buy it, or give out freebies or such to these people. Then when their friends see the item they will see the name of it, or some other distinguishing feature, and search for it, and hopefully come up with your classified. I think the major success of my classified has been that it is for a product which I've given a very specific name. So bear in mind that re-branding products which are quite generically named might be a good way to ensure the success of any advertising. _____________________
