I have been wearing the same clothes for a couple of days, thinking that I have changed into new ones but no. I'm still in the same clothes, I uninstalled cleared the cache, uninstalled SL, downloaded emerald, and nothing is working. Please help
Thanks

Try deleting your cache folder.

You can find it by looking at the location box just below the clear cache button on the network tab of preferrences.

Ok, I deleted ALL of the things in the cache folder, and other people still see me with the green shirt on

Okay........try this. Change your clothes as normal. Then open preferrences once again and choose clear cache. Log off. Reset your modem and router (if one is in play for your network). Then launch SL again and instead of logging in to your home or your last location as you normally do, log into another sim. Philudoria is a quiet sim with very little lag.....you can try that one. TP to your normal log in place and ask if you have changed clothes.

Have you tried rebaking your textures? Alt > control > r. If that does not work try going into appearance and tweaking some small setting such as adjusting the shirt length a number or two jumping out of appearance then back in and adjust that slider back to where it was.

That's the old trick I used to use for an old problem we used to have with "missing textures". Oops, I think that was "missing image"......the mind goes first you know :)

What layers are you wearing, exactly? Go to your Inventory, and type the word WORN into the search field. Everything that you are wearing will list. Could the green shirt perhaps be part of the skin you're wearing? Are you wearing multiple versions (undershirt, shirt, jacket) of the same green shirt? What happens if you change not just your clothes, but your skin as well?

The vital organs fall out in the process.

Sometimes it helps to wear EXACTLY the piece of clothing everyone else sees you wearing and then take it off.

So try to find that green shirt everyone sees you in and wear it.
Wait for a bit.
Go into Edit Apperarance (just to make sure)
wait a bit more
Rebake textures (just to make sure)
wait a bit again.
Take off the green shirt
Edit apperance and rebake again.
Pray

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

Failing those, reset to default avatar.

Enable the advanced menu with Ctrl Alt D, then on the Advanced menu, character, character tests, test female.

You'll have to set everything up again after this but it fixes all the problems i've ever had.

Are you sure you aren't still wearing the green shirt? If you put another on and it's worn on a different layer below it then it wont remove the original.

Go back to the default Ruth (under the Advanced menu), then rebuild your avatar from there.

Edit: Already suggested

No worries, that won't have any effect. It doesn't hurt, so it's not a bad idea to suggest, but it's not the issue here.

Good advice.

If you're using Emerald, use the inventory tab to show items you're wearing.

If not, use ";(WORN" in the white search space (minus the quotes). The bold items are the ones you're wearing.

Are you wearing the green shirt on the jacket layer?

It isn't tattooed onto your skin as one of these (PG) attempts is it? :P

Wear jacket clothes from now on? :)
Reported it as a bug?

... and try all the suggestions with just the standard viewer, Emerald has some inventory issues.

Different viewers can have their caches set to different locations, in which case clearing or deleting the cache used by one viewer might not have any effect on the cache used by other viewers.

I tried everything, and still not working.

Also, I took off every clothing item + detached everything. I can not change my skin. I can only change my hair and shoes. Basically only prims are coming on

It does sound like it's part of the skin. You can change your skin - there are several of them in your inventory Library. Try a different one to confirm whether or not it's part of the skin. Unless you're saying you've tried changing your skin but it won't change.

you'll have to grab the whole file from the library and drag it onto yourself. then you can go back and reapply your shape/skin/attachments.

let us know.

(side note: rebaking WHILE in appearance mode and then back out of appearance mode, then back in, etc etc. has often provided the solution to many glitches of this nature. and it might take several attempts before you see results)

I met with Rouge. I've not seen anything like it.

It's not the skin and it's not being fixed by advanced character character tests. She sees herself back to the little pink and white spotty dress but all I saw was the prim skirt.

This was on Orientation Island where she hadn't been before.

Somethings not rebaking properly.
