Adult sim, but menus say it is PG

I went to several adult sandboxes, but when I tried collar menus, it said this was a PG sim and the collar functions were restricted.

Any ideas?

What collar and viewer are you using?

My first inclination is to say get a better collar.

so your saying the sim it self restricted the collar from working and second life sent you the message that it would not function ?

Or the collar wouldn't function

Thanks.

When I bring up the Omega collar menu in the Adult Beach (for example, clearly marked adult) in the Emerald viewer, I get a message saying the area is PG and functions are restricted.

Make sure you have the latest Emerald Viewer. One of the earlier versions had a bug where Adult sims were not displaying properly.

Thanks. I think my copy is about 3 weeks old now.

I'd see if it does the same thing in the Restrained Life viewer and/or Cool Viewer. I'd also check the collar's documentation to see if there's some way to bypass the apparently useless feature of breaking your collar in PG regions.

Yeah, it sure sounds as if a collar script is doing something like:

llRequestSimulatorData(llGetRegionName(), DATA_SIM_RATING)

and not expecting an "ADULT" result. Perhaps there's an update to the collar scripts?

What Qie said. All the Sensations products had this problem a few weeks ago, when the ADULT result first started to be returned, but they had a fix out in a couple of days.
