Think there's any money in it? Shops with pocket protectors, Macbooks, and polyester plaid shirts? Maybe slide rules and sets of gaming dice?

I think it's called the NERDSIM-LON: "2^4 sims of Roleplay/Calculus - Live where you play CHESS. Region: Memorization."

Full-contact chess was always a favorite 'sport' in the school library during lunch. You thought twice about taking that pawn. There could be some creative anachronism for my fellow geeks and nerds in that, even if it is SL-based.
I bet if you made full chess piece avatars that they would sell. Maybe even a melee system. Battle Chess 2K8 SL Edition. Maybe even draw some inspiration from American McGee. |

Battle Chess 2K8 SL Edition. Maybe even draw some inspiration from American McGee. I used to play Avatar Chess in SL some time ago. All the pieces were avatars, with an animation to scrunch up in order to fit inside the shape. I was a pawn. I made a Dalek helmet to go on it ![]() You want drama? Group chat to decide the moves. Chess by committee. Strong personalities overriding. You have no idea! Public chat was full of event as well. How to interpret the rules when the pieces are crashing / away / lagged? Your gun/sword RPers a bunch of pussies by comparison. _____________________

Think there's any money in it? Shops with pocket protectors, Macbooks, and polyester plaid shirts? Maybe slide rules and sets of gaming dice? You're too late. I just did a Places search for "Jedi" and got like two-dozen results. One of the stores had the following keywords in its description: Ship, jedi, sith, robes, clothes, camping chair, car, starwars, avatar, sex,Weapon, gun, star wars, saber That's funny. It's like one of those "which word doesn't belong" questions they give you on fake IQ tests. |

Think there's any money in it? Shops with pocket protectors, Macbooks, and polyester plaid shirts? Maybe slide rules and sets of gaming dice? ummm, wouldn't that be a lot like turning the computer off for most residents? |

Where did that Difference Engine thread go? I saw one, or a part of one, somewhere in Caledon. In the state I saw it, it didn't seem to do much more than one of those little supermarket clicky adders people used to use. There were drawings and parts scattered around, so maybe it will be finished one day =) _____________________
