I get a thick ,unusable text cursor whilst editing scripts etc.in SL about 4 times a day . I have to log off to clear it.This has happened over the years but seems to be getting worse. Does anybody know a cure ? I can't believe I am the only one getting this .It just one more niggling item that makes SL so frustrating when you are working.

What operating system and exactly what SL viewer are you using?

I got this too last week, does it overtype the scripts instead of inserting?
If so, I pressed control and shift I think and it cleared.
Well it was ctrl and something in the bottom left corner, just keep trying and it should clear lol
Hope this helps

That's exactly what I get,I will try that next time,I use Vista 64 and snowglobe, but I have had it happen in all viewers and on my old xp system. It won't be a problem if I can clear it without logging off.

Are you toggling between insert and overwrite mode?

It sounds like you have toggled the cursor. On a PC I think the key you want to press is called 'insert'.

The toggle can happen very easily if you hit the "Pos 1" key blind. Or the "Del" key. The "Ins(ert) key is right next to it, atleast on most keyboards.
