Annoying Problem!

I have been having the most annoying problem..im not sure if its just related to Emerald viewer or not..I work alot in my inventory, with my inventory open..and anytime someone logs in..and the blue box pops up at the bottom right..my inventory resets itself..and it the recent tab..it goes empty..my inventory, i mean..

So, in other words..I waste alot of time searching for items because it resets itself all the time..sighs. Has anyone else experienced this..and is it just Emerald doing it, I havent tried any other viewer.

I am organizing right now, and noticed exactly the same with Emerald. I cannot remember having this issue with any other viewer so far but cannot say for sure it's related to Emerald.

But it sure is annoying

Well, I guess I can say Im glad its not just me..but yes! Its so annoying I almost throw my mouse!

I really hate to give up the options with Emerald viewer and go back to the LL one, but maybe have to!

I use Emerald and have not had this issue at all. I almost always have 2 inventory windows open at all times - one on the All Items tab and one on the Recent Items tab and have never had the Recent reset itself.

hmmm...wonder why it happens to some of us, and not to others..

I HATE THAT! and YES everytime! It does not happen to me on the normal viewer

I can't say that I've seen that happen or, if it has, I haven't noticed it.

There's another inventory bug that annoys me and it's nothing to do with Emerald. In Edit, I often open Edit's texture box for a prim face and drag the texture onto a different prim or a different face. Sometimes, but not always, my inventory opens when I drag it. It doesn't even open at the texture there - it just opens. I find that annoying.


Btw, Yummi. I hadn't noticed that you got your problem solved - the one where you couldn't log in, so... welcome back into SL

It is a place in preferences you can choose to NOT have that blue pop-up window at all. I have had that solution for over a year, I think. It is in the standard viewer and probably in Emerald too. So this don't affect me. Maybe that's the way with the others who say they don't notice it?

Oh TY Phil~! Yes..i actually had to buy a new graphics card..I guess my old one was just ready to retire Im loving actually seeing the SL graphics now

Hmm I will look for that preference..I dont like the popup windows when someone logs in , anyway!

I hoipe what happened to me doesn't happen to you then Not many days after I'd bought a new graphics card foir my newest computer, its hard drive died. The graphics were great but I didn't have them for long. All should be back to normal on Friday though.

This is only a guess, but if you were to delete the calling cards, it might not happen anymore.

Yup yup yup!! Regular viewer here too and it drives me absolutely bonkers!!! It seems to me that a while ago I had asked and there's a setting in preferences that we can adjust but that was probably a couple upgrades ago and I don't recall what it was. But I HATE that! It's especially annoying when I'm getting changed and I find what I want....get poised to click it and my inventory jumps cause someone logged in and next thing ya know I've selected two entirely different shoes or some other completely unrelated thing as a result......makes my crazy!! lol

well i did find a preference to uncheck notifications for friends coming on and offline..so i unchecked it..and havent been bothered so far..wooot

i've had this happen on any viewer when i have the friends show when they come online..
i always hated that..

ya about the only way is turn off showing them come online

Deleting ALL of them is easy...just select them all, and hit Delete. The problem comes if you want to KEEP some. Deleting the cards won't hurt your Friends list, BTW...the only bad thing about it is that you can't use those cards who represent av's who are NOT on your friends list to open a conference call.
