Question about Bed Anims

I tend to make items that have a flexible uses. For instance, my blankets are not attached to a bed and do not contain anims so that you can use them on any bed and with any existing anim. However, I am now working on making more animated items.

So, here is the question. I have beds that ive made and am wondering how people prefer to get their beds....no anims (so you can add your own), sleep or cuddle only, or full sex animations as well. I have a freebie sex bed anim set that ive just set next to the beds I make for those that want to add them, but im trying to figure out what people prefer.

Thanks for the input in advance...jojo

I prefer to add my own, primarily because I have plenty that I can add, I get the ones that I want, and the bed itself is therefore cheaper.

I think you'll find that most of your potential customers do NOT have access to appropriate animations, other than by buying a sexgen kit or something similar. And if they do that, well... what you get with one sexgen bed is pretty much the same on all of them.

If you are capable of adding NEW animations to your product - IE Poses and animations that are not part of the stock set in every mass-marketed kit that can easily be added to any prims, then you would have far more market value than an unscripted bed, or a bed that just uses a stock animation engine.

I think that most people prefer the bed to have animations in them, but would really appreciate seeing poses that aren't part of the mass marketed stuff, like Ceera said.

Prefer anims, but also the ability to add more. The bigger problem with alot to pre-animated items that use the freebie kit is that most creators don't bother to adjust them and people take the anims out because they end up under the bed, or other weird positions.

Have you thought about making "empty" beds and then sell animation packs that the end consumer can add as they want?

With the MLPV2 scripts, it's very easy to add packs. The consumer does not need to edit any files, just place the animations along with the menu and position notecards into the existing item. The scripts will read all menus and positions and put it all together on the fly.

Whatever you decide concerning including animations or not, people do ask for just sleep beds. That's why I made some.

Yosef's idea is good though, and just sleeps could be one of the packs, or they could be included by default. BUT, many people want to see the anims in action before buying so, however you arrange things for sale, it would be good to have that facility for them.
