What have Linden done now. I always so not install there new downgrade 'new' version till they force me. Well tonight I did. I see triangles all over.. cant even fly on my own land, even messed up my windows task-bar, blabla... There were some helpful people in some groups, starting talking about opengpl and what ever.. .I really dont wanna know. It just have to work, that's it. Is that so difficult for Linden or what?

Linden: I don't wanna have your 'updates'! Plz.. give me back 1.3 when everything worked fine.

I updated last night, everything fine here.

There must be a hardware issue of some sort. I see a lot of threads with Nvidea cards and Windows Vista. Which have problems. And rolling back the graphics driver should fix it?

I don't know because I steer FAR away from creepy software like Microsoft products other than XP.

It sounds like you might have it set to view updates. Very annoying but easy to fix. Pull down the "advanced" menu and un-check "show updates". Or use ctrl+alt+shift+u.

You were using version 1.3? wasn't that pre-sculpties and pre-flexy, was it in color or a b&W viewer?

Yes, I almost always see there is a new update when starting SL. But I just never install them till I have to. That was for me yesterday.

Really, sculpties, voice and all, that are nice extras. But why is it looks like every update looks to me more like an downgrade. I played allot other games like EVE, WoW, Entropia, etc. But all of them never used a that much of my laptoppie. I get about an FPS of 1 frame in 4 sec. while more normal should be 40-60 in 1 sec? And then I'm always avoid crowded places cos then I'm getting an instant crash anyway.

Sorry, I wasn't clear about what part of your problem I was trying to solve. I was thinking that you were seeing the triangles you mentioned because you have "show updates" checked under the "advanced" menu. The triangles highlight anything that changes on your screen as people and things move around.

Hmmm... ATI, if I remember correctly the fix for that for certain cards is...

Preferances > Graphics > Hardware Options > Uncheck OpenGL Vector Object Buffer? or something like that.

Sorry 1 minute from closing up at works. Though SL runs fine on my Centrino 1.7GHz single core. Get 20+ Frames on the hight end.
