Where to buy Lindens

Hi everybody, I've heard that buying Lindens from ebay sellers is risky (credit card fraud and everything). I wondered if buying through SL Exchange would be safe, and if others have experience, good or bad, with SL Exchange. Ty

SLX uses LL's Risk API, so it's pretty safe.
I've never had any trouble with it.

I've not purchased through SLX, but they have a long established reputation as a company, and there haven't been any reports of problems in the several years they've been doing business. They also use the RISK API published by Linden Lab to mitigate fraud, which from your perspective as a consumer is a protection - it stops fraudulent transactions before they reach the purchaser, and if anything does get past it, you are still protected.
So yeah, perfectly safe, and probably better exchange rates than Lindex.

Inar I purchase lindens direct at the secondlife.com web site. Although I've heard good things about SLX and linden selling, this has to be the method with the fewest issues in that arena.

While I've never purchased anything like 100,000L from either exchange, I usually get 5-6L more per USD on SLX.

I buy 580/581 a month, and haven't had any issues. The rates seem rather steady 580/581 per USD 2.50.
It's ran by SL.. Can't see how there could be issues other than perhaps waiting a minute or two sometimes. =)

SL Exchange is not run by Linden Lab, only the LindeX is.

SL Exchange has been very reliable for me in the past. Slightly better L$/US$ rate and only takes a few seconds longer to process. It is also allowed under the TOS so no worries there.
