Adding an image to post?

I’ve seen images in posts…lolcats mostly, and wanted to add something too, but just cant figure out how. I have read the instructions From: someone To attach a file to a new post, simply click the [Browse] button at the bottom of the post composition page, and locate the file that you want to attach from your local hard drive. But I don’t see the Browse button. What am I missing? |

To post an image the image must be hosted on a website such as photobucket or flickr. It can also be hosted on any web site that allows links to thier images. Copy the image URL. Such as _http://www.imagehost.com/image.jpg_ Post the image by typing  the image will appear in the post. (leave out the underscores on the URL) "CX"  |

Usually I copy and paste my image but it just gives a link - if I'm lucky.  |

From: Conifer Dada Usually I copy and paste my image but it just gives a link - if I'm lucky. Take off the '?v=0' at the end of the link.  If you click 'All Sizes' above your Flickr image and scroll down a bit, it will take you to a page with the correct postable URL.

Usually, the easiest way to figure out how someone did something is to click 'Quote' their post and see how it's laid out. Then just back out.

But that’s what’s got me confused. Some show links to like /imageshack/ with the [img]thing but others show no link at all and have an “Attached Images” above the picture. Specifically the Da Sexy Avie thread has a mix of different options it seems. Even looking at the last two posts from today are different with one seemingly having an image attached and the other with a link.  |

Some of the forums allow attachments too - Gallery and Classifieds definitely do - but you can use image tags everywhere.
