From: darkpluto Mint My avatar nods when I type something, how to stop the nodding animation? Wearing an AO (Animation Override) stops it; that's the only way I really know to stop it. I usually forget to wear an AO, and must admit I kind of got used to it. I even type 'nod nod' sometimes, lol. Will be interested to see other responses to see if there's another way. Oh, also there's a setting under 'Edit' 'Preferences' that stops the typing animation; that stops the head nod too, but then, people don't know if you are typing/responding, or if you are away, or what.

I've got an AO plus the typing anim turned off but my av still nods. I was under the impression it all depends on how the priority of the animations in your AO work. Some allow the head to move to follow mouse movements. If there's a separate way to stop that silly nodding I'd love to know too! -- Aes

You can get attachments that will override the typing animations (computers, clipboards, etc). Do a search in-world on on XStreet for 'typing overrider'.

Many animations leave the head free so it can swivel with the mouse etc. Typing killers generally won't touch the talk animation either, unless again they freeze the head and stay running a bit after typing stops.

i think the little affirmative nod at the end of the typing ani is cute as hell. and i dont like people disabling the typing because then i have zero indication they are typing. i often end up walking away and out of chat range before they have managed to finish whatever they were saying (i have no sound). i think a lot of people run sl without the sound on, so that is something to bear in mind.

From: Toy LaFollette get more sleep Ephraim Kappler roars laughing. Seriously, I wish they would put 'PlayNoddingAnim' in Debug settings so I could set it to 'FALSE'.

I want an "Italian" AO that lets me talk with my hands instead of doing the typing anim.
