Now I get sent to grid status page when I try to access main page. I got in via back door, but then when I hit my account, back to the grid staus page.
I did get into forums by the back door, and this seems to be working.

The account page url is just http://secondlife.com/account.
In some browsers, depending on how you set them up, you can just type "acc" in the address bar and that account page would show in the list that appears below the address bar. A bookmark (favorites) folder in your browser bookmarks is easy to make. You can make one named Second Life and bookmark just what you want and nothing extra, and never have to wait for secondlife.com to load. On Google, for me, in IE7, if I type in second life account as the search term, I get links for Download Second Life My Account Join Now Second Life Community System Requirements Showcase Support Portal and a customized secondlife.com search page. Sheesh! I never realized that, wonder how long it's been doing that. Note that the links: \ Download Second Life My Account Join Now Second Life Community System Requirements Showcase Support Portal do not include the forums. We are the bastard stepchildren of Linden Lab apparently. No offense intended to any bastard stepchildren that might be reading. _____________________

I never to get type secondlife without seeing lists of secondlife urls popping up in a dropdown list. _____________________

Yes, I use this as well, but clicking for the SL homepage (I am always logged in) and my account is pretty durned easy. When I tried going in via url, I just kept getting grid status page. I guess I see why I could get forums though. All is well now however. It works as well as usual. _____________________
