I have a tiny ferret and I picked up a tiny demo horse from AKK. In order for the horse to work right, you have to turn AO off. The ferret has a franimation ao attached to it and if I turn it off, the ferret stretches out and looks very wonky.

Is there any way around this or can tinies with the franimation override not ride the tiny horse? Wah....he looks so cute on it too...when the horse isn't buried in the ground because of the ao.

Not without custom animations specific to your case. Unfortunately deforming AOs are a minority case that aren't easily addressed. If we had better controls for avatars, such as smaller avatar sizes, or a way to hide the basic avatar entirely, then this wouldn't be an issue, as you could create tinies easily. But I digress.

If you're able to find tiny compatible animations for sitting or whatever, then perhaps the creator can hook you up with a custom version that supports those animations instead?

Here's an edumacated guess: turn off the ferret's AO, then turn ON the horse's AO. The horse has to have one built-in too. No idea what channel the horse's AO listens to, consult the instructions.

Thanks all *sigh* I guess I won't be riding with my ferret. Perhaps one of my other tinies...

Wynx - that's the issue. If I turn off the ferret's AO, it immediately un-crushes and stretches out, so the ao is obviously what keeps the underlying avatar all mooshed up so the ferret can be worn.

you say that when you get it to work the horses feet are stuck in the ground? i don't know about the tiny horses but i know the akk regular ones have a drop down menu option that lets you change the height of where the feet stand acording to the ground. perhaps playing around with those options may help? assuming there there of course

Ya know...you just might be on to something there crunch! Thanks, I'll give that a try. I have a regular sized horse and I know this can be done if he horse sinks...I mean honestly, why make a tiny horse if a tiny can't ride it!

Meh..the horse comes up but once you start moving, it sinks down again.

That is the down side with Tinies. The AO that makes such small sizes possible makes it impossible to use most standard animations.

There is a growing selection of AO's and pose sets and furnishings designed for Tinies, but it is still a specialty niche market.

Check Abranimations and Friends. They have a room just for stuff that works with Tinies, including poses that allow a normal avatar to cuddle a tiny or pet them.

Come to Hatchie Haven.

There are horses specifically made for tinies, and while you DO have to turn off your AO, the build-in ao on the horses scrunches your tiny body back. :D

A hatchie by the name of zephyr pennell(?) makes them.
