I have a gadget that lets you swim in Linden water. "Just rez it over water" it says. So I did. A blue poseball appeared.
Every time someone sits on this ball, they can swim...and a new ball rezzes in its place.
There's only one problem. I can't make it stop! There is still one of these on my old property, despite my best efforts to find the generating prim. Every now and then, the new owner autoreturns my swim ball.
On my new property, apparently the ball affects not only the Linden water on my parcel, but the water in the next door parcel, too. At least, I've had swimballs returned from there, too.
How can I control this "Gypsy Swim Ball" thing? It's like bloody kudzu!

Well, is it modify? You can add a kill if owner logged off script with various timer settings in it. This script is set to 60 seconds; if the owner logs off for more than 60 seconds, the object containing the script is either killed or sent back to the owner's inventory. (can't remember) The item in world with the script in it will turn red when you log off and warn everyone that it will soon disappear too. You might have to put the script inside the prim which is inside the contents folder of the rezzer. It may be best just to IM the creator and suggest they modify their product. integer count = 5; default { on_rez(integer start_param) { llResetScript(); } state_entry() { llSetTimerEvent(60); } timer() { llRequestAgentData(llGetOwner(), DATA_ONLINE); } dataserver(key queryid, string data) { if ((integer)data) { count = 5; llSetColor(<1,1,1>, ALL_SIDES); } else { count--; llSetColor(<1,0,0>, ALL_SIDES); if (count <= 0) { llInstantMessage(llGetOwner(), "Platform Self-Destructed at " + llGetRegionName() + " " + (string)llGetPos()); llDie(); } else llSay(0, "Owner is logged off. Self-Destructing in " + (string)count + " minutes."  ; } } }

Sounds like a fun swim ball, who makes it? I'd like to get one.
Ask the Owner to check the About Land, Objects window and see if you have any prims left there, and if so to return them.

It's made by my friend Gypsy Paz (using animations of mine); contact him about your problem.

Hi, Johan linked me here to this thread, There is a 90% transparent ball right underneath it that keeps a new swim ball rezzed for the next person to go swimming, you can zoom in close to find it, or go into edit mode and drag a box around it to select them both and delete it. Although, if your using it just for yourself on other peoples land, I believe I included a stand alone ball in the box that you can just drop in the water and go swimming without leaving the rezzer behind. ArchTx Edo: I have a few out for people to try at Lake Gnoma http://slurl.com/secondlife/Gnoma/146/66/41you can buy them at my store right across the road, just follow the chicken o.O
