I seem to be unable to log on to sl at the moment, also when visiting www.secondlife.com I am (after a delay) redirected to the grid status page but there is no mention of a problem there.
Is it just me?

Nope, time to go and try out Blue Mars and meet the other 5 SL'ers there. I met a guy (among those 5) who I knew just under 2 years ago in SL and lost contact. Met again in Blue Mars but then again, there were only 5 of us there.

me too I was trying to change clothes in world and nothing was happening so I logged out. Tried logging back in and nothing happening so I checked the website I just keep getting directed to the grid status page *cries*.

It looks like SL is going in to melt down. TPs failing and 0L$ balances. Add in group chat failure.

I decided that LL really does have a conspiracy going as far as the forums are concerned. For a good 15-20 min, I kept getting 'database error' trying to get to these forums but I could get to the grid status page and those new bloggy forum things with no problems.

i started having "asset server didn't respond in a timely fashion" messages 45 mins ago, and at the same time xstreetsl.com went down and these forums were also inaccessible for a little while, just got the forums now. am still in world. for now.

i knew i should have stayed in my sim the second i seen tp's were not happening..soon as i left my sim about 5 minutes into my journey sl crashed and here we are..lol
looks like it's having a problem holding all these people that are off for the holidays.. here is the grid status.. there are just too many pepple capt'n!!  we're breakin oop!!she con't tek et anymooollrre!!I'm gaven er ool shez gat.. it's not gonna happen this time Jim..For god sakes man we're doomed can't you see that DOOMED i say!! LOL.. glad to see i'm not the only one with a sense of humor when it comes to the grid lol don't mistake real numbers for numbers that were using less resources than residents that were actually doing something on the grid back then...it dropped to the 60k's almost the same week the traffic manipulation rules came out..there is not really 65,000 logged in when you see 65,000 logged in.. all humor aside it probably has more to do with them messing around with maintenance recently than anything.. _____________________
