This could be interesting: https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/commerce/blog/2009/11/23/pilot-program-for-testing-early-improvements-to-our-ip-complaint-process?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+LindenLabALL+%28Official+Second+Life+Blog+-+ALL+POSTS%29&utm_content=Twitter"We'd like to let you know that in December we’ll be kicking off a pilot program to test some early improvements to our intellectual property complaint process. As we announced in our Content Management Roadmap, we’re working hard to make our intellectual property complaint process more efficient and empower content creators to better control their content. Starting today, we will be inviting a small group of Resident content creators to be testers in our pilot program, which is a very early phase of testing our improvements to date. Given the technical complexity of the process, we are starting with a small group to help test the process thoroughly. During the program, we’ll collect feedback on the experiences of different testers using the improved process, with the goal of releasing these improvements more broadly as soon as possible. When we actually begin the launch of the pilot program, we'll message again with additional information and at that time we'll answer any questions you have. In the meantime, please check the Second Life Blogs in the upcoming weeks, and please visit the FAQs on this pilot program announcement. "

From: Kitty Barnett It gets my vote for "most vague blog post of the year" . One of LL's most defining characteristics anymore -- vague.

I am awfully tired of them using buzzwords, like "roadmap." It makes it sound like they have a clue where they are going.
*ponders tiredly* It's not so much the complaint process itself that is.. buggy. It's Linden Lab's involvement in this that is "buggy." Okay, not making sense, so let me try this. They're giving us a new complaint process for IPs. Great. Good. Wonderful. But HOW are THEY going to handle the complaints? That's always the hit or miss part of their grand scheme.

Well I always get worried when they are asking a small group to do anything. It usually translates to "we are going to do someting to totally screw up your SL experience, but look we tried it out first and got feedback that many people wanted it."

Who do they choose and why?

From: TundraFire Nightfire Who do they choose and why? Who: Large businesses that have a significant interest in shaping a system to work for them and against everyone else. Why: "Mo' money, mo' money mo' money!"

I have to wonder, do they also have a small group of people selected to actually steal the intellectual property of those chosen to lodge the complaints?

From: RockAndRoll Michigan I have to wonder, do they also have a small group of people selected to actually steal the intellectual property of those chosen to lodge the complaints? Knowing the lack of foresight in LL, probably. If I was them, I'd have chosen a pool from those that have had IP issues and are likely to have them again.

It's the Content Seller program, which the links from that lead to, that'll really finish it for me. Finally, you'll only be able to sell if you are investing RL money into SL, as well as all your time and creativity
