Hi,

Is there any way that a western person like myself who doesn't speak or read Japanese can find good stores on Japanese sims?

Can I even tell which sims are Japanese?

Thanks.

Hi Halo.

Not sure what sorts of things you are looking for, but I've found this blog to be a pretty good jumping off point.

This is a great blog written in English that focuses specifically on Japanese shopping sims:

Also, just searching for "Japan" or "Japanese" can find a wide range of Japanese theme shopping areas, most of which are quite accessible by people who speak no Japanese themselves. The vendors are often in English, even if the signs are in Japanese. And a picture of a Kimono or a Parasol is universal...

Look particularly for stores in sims that also have Japanese-soundng names. There ste several full-sim and multi-sim areas that are entirely on a Japanese theme, and make delightful shopping.

A lot of these Japanese sims are very accessible to English speaking customers as well. My own store is in Osaka, a sim meant for 'cute girly shopping', but a lot of creators there (including myself) aren't Japanese.

Same goes for places like Harajuku.
