Hi guys,
I am looking for the most surreal dancing place on second life to have a totally different experience. Maybe in the space, maybe a monster cave.....anything filled with imagination and striking visual effects. Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks, Cynthia

There used to be (or may still be) a place in tribute to The Grateful Dead. They had an "upstairs" room that was something different. Can't recall the name or place...

I'll mention this thread to Phoenixa Sol if she hasn't already come along, she specializes in dancing and is always finding wonderful and extraordinary places to showcase...

club "castle of goddess"
German hard metal style club inside a volcano. Very cool too.

Thanks, Cynthia If it's a club you seek, these wont be what you're looking for. I had a blast dancing at each of these: ~~~~~~~~~~~ Zero Point. I noticed they changed the ground build, but had a tele to the classic ZP. The SLurl below goes to where the tele took me, so if there is an official landing point that takes you someplace other than what these 3 pictures look like, just look for the tele to classic zp: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kelham/181/40/3006 ~~~~~~~~~~ Inspire Space Park: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Shinda/35/216/1560 I even filmed some of my dance videos here because it's so gorgeous. Here's one of them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqI8EOZvD3M&feature=channel_page~~~~~~~~~ Tunnel of Light: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tunnel%20of%20Light/80/165/25 ~~~~~~~ Purveyors of Possibilities: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tangun/137/224/252have fun and happy dancing!

Aw, thank you Crystal! Such sweet serendipity you sent me an inworld IM just as I was checking the SLurls to the links I posted to be absolutely sure they still existed and grabbing image URLs.

How about the Led Zeppelin sim, Kashmir.
The danceclub is up in a zeppelin that looks like it's made of lead and is really psychodelic - best seen with midnight setting.

I remember Terrapin Station in Sutherland, fabulous build and included the FURTHER bus in the parking lot below it. Gone now, it's a rental lot. Here's Kashmir, inside the Led Zeppelin: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Taniz/70/29/79

Hi hon, A quick question, i went to Space Park last night. But i cannot figure out a way to dance there. Many folks were tai-chi-ing. But nobody danced. How to dance in that place? Thanks, Cynthia

Try Organica on Happy Clam Island. They have amazing particles and trance music a few times a week. A wee bit of a sensory overload for me, but they have a dedicated following.
btw - Terrapin Station is still there, bus and all: Dark Star. Try the Space Park and the dance area.

Thanks, Cynthia Most people tend to buy a chimera or a huddlez and fill them with their own dances that they buy. You can buy some nice dances from places like Sine Wave and Abranimations. It is expensive though, some people literally have 40,000L worth of dance animations in their huddlez. Doing it this way, you don't need to use a dance ball somewhere, and you are free to customize your dances to your own personal tastes.

Thanks, Cynthia I bring my own dance appliances. Either a dance chimera or sphere with dances loaded into it that you wear, (there are free ones available at freebie spots), sometimes you can find a dance bracelet or other attachments with preloaded dances in them... or what I use (and LOVE) the HUDDLES quick pose huds. They hold 20 anims each. I have a dance tutorial with helpful information: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Phoenixa_Soland, there are a lot of free dances around at freebie spots available until you can afford to collect the dances you like from the various dance animators around SL.
