I love my Trudeau yawl, but I'd like a little Hobie Cat style catamaran to go skimming with. Does anyone know who makes a good one?

Can you fly a hull? Is it a 14 or a 16? If it's a 16, does the trapeze work?

That's pretty big for a Hobie.

Try Zinnerman for cats. I have one of these, love the ability to modify it. I just can't seem to go anywhere.... But I see them zipping all over and FAST at sailors cove. |

That's pretty big for a Hobie. ![]() http://www.hobiecat.com/sailing/all_models.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hobie_Cat It might be closer to 5.5m. I have one on static display at my little beach on the SE corner of Lunata. _____________________

Cute! Though I'd put my weight further back, you're likely to nosedive. ^^ _____________________

I have been shopping for the last hour and this is the one I had decided on. I don't need a 50,000 prim boat to live on and try to move around. The Flying Tako is fantastic for a nice relaxing cruise and I can say having sailed for many years that it is pretty realistic. But the Beach Cat looks like the boat to add to my fleet, especially like the fact that your passenger gets their own hud if they want to help sail it and you can also name someone else as the skipper. EDIT: They have a demo cat you can take out and sail and all I can say is: O HELL YA!!!!!! WOOT! I still love my Tako for cruising but the cat is wild! _____________________

the coolest part is "under the hood" so to speak...
the script actually takes the height of the avies on the boat into consideration, so if you want to sail the cat in high winds get someone really tall to crew with you ![]() |

Sorry I have been aways from this thread. Lindal take a look at the profile of the creator and it will list her island in her Picks. She has a handful of other boats that are awesome, I know because I've bought 3 now.
The Beach Cat Leetle Cat, which is not a catamaran. Very nice relaxing ride with a super easy hud. Larinda Schooner, beautiful 200+ prims. Easy hud and no brainer to drive. here's the website that shows some of the boats and the huds: http://trudeauyachts.wordpress.com/ _____________________

Ohh I bought the beach cat too. Very fun little thing when you catch a race wind! I like the fact that you can capsize the boat if it tips too much.
