Okay, I searched the first couple of pages and didn't find any topics that helped me... I am on a Mac Desktop computer (Dual 1.8 GHz PowerPC GS) and I have 2 GB memory. I am running Mac OS X version 10.5.4 I have been on SL (on this computer) for a couple of months and never had any problems. But I updated to the new version of SL, and since around then I have had problems with freezing. Not the whole computer, but just SL. I thought it might have been because I was running in full screen, but I change that and it still does that. I want to know if any one knows something to do to stop the freezing...can I go back and change my version of SL? I have looked at SL website and nothing they had has worked...so what do I do to get my SL to stop freezing?

It seems that Macs have been having a tough time lately: lots of problems in the Apple OpenGL drivers for both varieties of graphics cards. For nVidia, maybe look over http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7779 to see if any of the "sometimes works, maybe" remedies help. If you're not sure what kind of graphics card you have, you can find out in the SecondLife viewer (don't have to connect), from Help / "About Second Life...". Not a Mac user myself, so maybe somebody else will have more info. Oh, and also, there's a specific "Mac Discussion" subforum at /164/1.html that may have something more helpful. Oh, and yeah, it is possible to download and reinstall older viewer versions and trick them into working. See /327/86/287992/1.html#post2184918 for how-to.
