Does anyone know where I can get a bowling alley/lane just like the one at New Bay City..I bought one recently..it was crap!! (no product names mentioned..but..well it was as previously described..big time).

Anyway I'd just like to get my hands on an alley just like the one at New Bay City ('Hot Balls'..:o..yeah the name sucks!!..those Linden's huh!!).

(I just happen to be number 4 on the all time spectacularly great score board..:D)

Astrid..

Go to Bay City and right click the bowling alley. Edit the Alley and click MORE on the small grey box to expand it. Under the GENERAL tab see the creator's name. Click the blue box to the right of the name. Thne you can see the creator's profile. You can look in the PICKS to find the product.

I s'pect the Moles had more to do with the name than the Lindens.

Hmmm...if a mole made it I wonder if it will be for sale anywhere? You'll have to let us know Astrid.

**edit** looks like you posted while I was writing. Sorry you can't find one. :( Maybe a similiar product will appear for sale somewhere soon.

Look for the Lolo store in Search. The place that sells the prim kitty pets and the like. At their main store, they have a cat-shaped airship that has a bowling alley inside it, as well as other games. You could try that one, and if you like it you could check the creator on that.

I would love to see some of those mole made items show up in the library. That, and the Bay City textures. All that stuff looks soooo good. (^_^)y

Havok 4 broke the best bowling alley in SL
05-15-2008 07:30
I have (did have) the best 10 pin bowling alley in SL, it was custom built for me by Redux Dengaku (a brilliant scripter) and was built to scale, we could have up to 4 people playing against each other on the same lane, with a real scoreboard showing the pins in each frame.

It worked wonderfully the balls had a slight curve on them and it was a real test of skill, until the nightmare that is Havok 4 appeared and broke it completely.

The balls fly all over the place now and it is unplayable.

I haven't been to the bowling alley in Bay City, so I don't know if it's like either of the 2 that I've seen for sale. Dominus Skye makes one for sale at Dominus Designs, and Iron Perth makes one for sale at Iron Games. You can check those out. Their shops are listed in their profiles.

Where is this allegedly reported bowling alley supposedly said to be, hypothetically speaking?

Okay for Argos and Suezanne here's the location of the Bowling Alley in question.....Bay City - Handa (51, 234, 25)

I suggest you teleport here because every other method (biking/motoring'/sailing/flying)..just DONT work.

I've owned and played the Dominus game for almost 2 years and enjoyed it. Its the most expensive one available for sale. However since the Havoc 4 update it now reacts like the pins are nailed to the floor.

The next most expensive for sale Iron Perth's is less graphically appealing and also no longer works correctly due to Havoc 4. Iron hasn't been online for almost a year so no updates or refunds are possible with this game.

In each case a "Try before you Buy" is well advised.

The game setup in LoLo is by Dee McLean, I don't know if she offers it for sale, but I've seen it in a few places. But in each case when I've paid for a game it turns out the lane is on a No Build parcel and once the ball is bowled a Cannot rez object error occurs and there is no score. Its a simple no frills game but I can't say how it plays as yet.

Beady's was made for scale and technical realism but as he says the bowling ball now behaves like a very bouncy tennis ball since Havoc 4 and is impossible to play.

The game in Handa Bay City at least does work. It offers little control over bowling and is graphically simple. However its novelty and current popularity is turning it into a Griefer HotSpot so you may get some trouble there if you wish to try it.

Currently the best place to enjoy a free and working game of bowls is an island sim dedicated to 10 pin bowling. It is called Splitsville and is nicely setup. The games are not for sale but perhaps better to enjoy a well designed working game without using up valuable prims on your own land.

Hi guys, the reason of the Hot Balls lanes not being on sale it's because two main aspects: the first reason is (indeed) because it is a custom work (paied); this isn't a major issue since a commercial version would be totally different (the "basic" rules introduced on Bay City and called "Lucky 13", are there to let enjoy the game with simplicity without knowing the bowling rules (yeah, somewhere in the world isn't so popular :D ), and without have to manage with more_than_click_and_shot functions); but the real problem is that it hasn't been developed to being deployed by a customer (it would be unfriendly on a fresh installation).
If anything would be available ... a day... it will be a (hoping) a "real" bowling alley, with RL rules, multiplaying and a noob_proof installation (so i wouldn't being submerged by helping requests).. now (the sad part) i really finished my time, i mean i really have time to sleep and eat something atm. :) ...so i would like to "help" you, but i really dunno where i may buy some more time... do you sell some plz? :)
