If I remove someone from my Friends List, do I get removed from theirs automatically? If so, will they receive a notification?

Yes you'll be removed from theirs automatically. No, they will not receive notification. You'll just vanish off their list.

an excellent feature.

but, realize you each remain in the others' calling card list in your inventory. gotta manually delete that, as do they.

If you have given them mod rights they will see the notification that you have removed mod rights.

Ah that's another fun part of breaking up in SL.

I haven't removed a single person from my friend's list since November 2006, mainly due to the endless drama raised by the person removed. I'd not spoken to them once since the day I joined in May 2006, but little did I realise what a stab to the heart that little act would be.

If you are both online and they can see your online status, they will get the "has gone offline" message when you defriend them. So I recommend you don't delete someone when they're standing right next to you. *blushes*

As LL are bent on introducing new features and not fixing basic necessities - any chance they could delete the calling card when you remove someone from your friend's list - or is it an inventory issue?

LMAO!

I'm constantly pruning my friends list. Probably because I accept offers easily. But if nothing comes of it (and I can usually tell because I can't remember who the hell the person is or where I met them), out they go. Conversely, I've made a few really good friends this way.

I'm kinda glad they don't get notifications though. That would just seem cold.

You are definitely slutty in the best possible definitions of the word. Dirty, hot, and a little scary, but in a good way. I'd like do awful things to you, but I'm pretty sure you'd snap me in two like a twig and leave me cross-eyed, dizzy and confused. I'm giving you a 9.8, tied for the top rating ever given. Almost off-the charts slutty. Shame on you and congratulations. -- Trout

If they ask why just click the X and quit quick.

They wont know you didn't go offline then, since sometimes people fade a lil slow.

You could also just TP elsewhere really quick. I think it looks the same to them - you just disappear.

Noooooo! I for one KEEP all my calling cards, never ever delete a single one, even if I remove friends, so I'm not voting for that...

I agree, it should be left in. I don't use my calling cards at all. I regularly delete all of them except one. Too many people, though use them for those they want to stay in touch with but don't keep on their friends list.
