Please tell me where to find information on forming a group. I've been to PROFILE, GROUPS - Create, but the form won't proceed past the group name I entered. (I can't find the info my written materials.)
I want to create a group of two people so that I can SET my land to that group and let the other person's builds stay on my land permanently.
Thank you!

Flieger, I sympathise. I just tried looking for the Knowledgebase articles and am utterly bamboozled with what LL have done. I've heard they have made the access dire but crikey! I'm not in-world now so cannot talk you through it but I did the exact same thing with two avies in a group. One thing does occur to me is, the fee for creating a group. Are you in credit to cover the cost? I think it's 100L$?

Knowledge Base Second Life Info > Knowledge Base > Social Stuff > Groups > How do I create my own group?
Can't find the perfect group for you? Create your own and bring your friends into it! Creating a group is simple to do. Keep in mind, though:
* Group creation costs L$100. * A group must maintain at least 2 members. * Any group that has less than 2 people for 48 hours will be disbanded.
To make a group, follow these steps:
1. Select Edit > Groups. 2. Click the Create button. 3. In the General tab, enter the name of the group, and the charter. The charter is a general listing of what the group is for and what the group does. * You can also drag a texture onto the Group Insignia box that will be displayed in the group's profile. * You can also enable Open Enrollment (anyone can join without an invitation), as well as creating an Enrollment Fee that residents must pay to join the group. 4. In the Members & Roles tab, use the various subtabs to accomplish other tasks: * In the Members subtab, you can invite and eject members from the group. * In the Roles subtab, you can create new roles and assign abilities to those roles. * In the Abilities subtab, you can browse the descriptions of abilities and see who has them. 5. When you're finished, click OK.
Remember to have 2 members in the group within 48 hours to avoid group disbanding!

Thanks, Bilbo. I appreciate your help.
After further efforts, I think the catch is that one has to click "OK" after filling out the group name (and charter) before it's possible to go further. After OK, the L$$ are charged, and then the group can have members. Intuition would say that the form should be completed before "OK" is clicked.
Thanks again.

Make sure you get two members in the group ASAP. If you don't after a short number of days the group will be disbanded. You do count as one member.

Even though you have a one day grace period before your one member group will be disbanded, it is good practice to immeadiately invite a "safety alt" to the group upon creation. join. (the alt will have to accept the invitation to bring him in).
