After a 6 week absence.....??

Gees....I'm gone for a few weeks and it feels like a century! 1st Life was giving me fits so I had to take a break and 'handle' a few things.....and get my groove with my new job.

So.....I wandered back in after downloading the latest update and was happy to see I didn't lose anything out of inventory, yay.....BUT......for some reason my upper toolbar is just barely visible on my moniter. Never had that issue before and I haven't made any settings changes. But, I am open to suggestions.....I can juuuuust barely see the bottom of the upper toolbar and I can't actually read the menu at all...I have to click from memory LOL

Also.......silly me.....I changed my account to basic, thinking I wouldn't have any time to get back for a while.....but I'm re-thinking that and I'm going to stay premium. But.....duh.....since I'm on quarterly, it doesn't go to basic until Oct 10th, and wont let me 'un-do' the change. What's the procedure here....should I bother to call and have them un-do it....or just wait until Oct and then change it back to premium myself after it rolls over to basic. ???

Let it roll to Basic and then immediately change it back. Since Oct 10th is a Sat, you won't even miss a stipend payment. That option has to be easier than dealing with a support ticket.

Hiya LittleMe~ Thanks....that sounds like an easier option then dealing with their version of *cough* customer service.

As for my screen.....any usggestions out there? It is so weird because since I've had my puter my SL screen has always been perfect.....toolbars always exactly where they should be. So...having my top toolbar almost off the screen suddenly is puzzling.

wb yes that is odd . i would try clearing cache and everything and maybe reinstalling the viewer or updating it and see if that works

Without going into gory details (cause I'm just not a drama queen) I was going thru some pretty ytucky stuff over the summer and basically I had to focus my energy elsewhere. And then there's the JOB! lol I love it, but I have very little time to myself now ~~ I do intend to keep my presence in SL tho......just have to manage my time carefully~

Is the "run in window" box checked in preferences? Can you minimize then full screen it? Is the resolution matching to your screen size?

It's never done that to me before....but that doesn't mean anything .... as we all know...SL is infamous for throwing new challenges at us. I'll check that next time I log in which hopefully wont be 6 weeks from now.

I just called that number a week ago to ask a question about changing my billing information from a CC to PayPal. Questions answered completely and accurately in about 3 minutes...........and my hold time was less than 5 mins.

For billing support, LL gets an extremely bad and unjustified rap.

I had cause to call billing support a couple of months ago and I was very impressed (and I work in a callcenter so it takes a lot to impress me).

Well, they finally did move the Xstreet forums to the new crappy format, so everyone figures our turn is any day now.
