I hope I am putting this in the right forum. I have a new computer, and loaded SL back into it, using the same settings as my other puter. Only problem is now I can't TP....It's been like that the last few days. It takes over 10 times to tp to some places, and other places I just can't tp too. Any suggestions????? TY

Remove Prims.

Try TPing to a different location first and then go to your primary destination.

If you file a support ticket for TPing then you will get a long process of things to try from LL.

Deprim. Put on newbie hair. Take off any necklaces, earrings etc. Try TPing. If it works, do it in that state for a couple of days. It eventually seemed to clear up for me....it was almost like I needed to run through the system for it to recognize me.

Even now though, I usually have to wear low-prim hair to get a good tp.

It's been happening to a lot of people. My *guess* is that there are some kinks in the system as LL continues to tweak and to upgrade servers, grid, etc.

Also, some links may be outdated or the sim no longer there. Sadly a lot of people are abandoning land after the recent price hikes.

When this happens as others have said too I just try going somewhere else. If I can't go anywhere then it's just SL and I either give up or log out.

I've tried to tp to another place, but still takes forever to try to get there. And I've done the take off prims and try to tp bald, but still no luck.

Could it be your internet is slow today? Or maybe the part of the grid you are TPing *from* is slow or being worked on.

Hope it changes soon for you :/

Log out....and do something IRL. Go to a restaurant, see a movie....have fun!

I suffer the same at the moment...no groups, no TP.......after two years i guess i'm getting used by this after every rolling restart.
Come back tomorrow, i'm sure they have solved every hickups, for as far as that's possible...

Assuming the problem is not with the grid, maybe the settings on your new
computer are not exactly the same as before. I would check your Firewall
settings, and make sure that all the ports are open that need to be.

According to a Knowledge Base article, you need to open these ports:
443/TCP, 12035-12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP.
On my computer I also have these: 80/TCP, 21002/TCP, 5060-5062/UDP.
Port 80 is for using the built-in browser, and some of those must be for Voice,
but one is also for a change a while back that can affect teleporting, groups,
and other things.

General firewall info:
https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417&task=knowledge&questionID=4355

Port 12043 can block teleporting:
