Hi all :-)
I am lookinjg for a neighborhood like residential area to move into. You know, white picket fences, gardens, mailboxes...surburbia! I have searched in SL, but we all know how search works these days :-\ If anyone has any reccomendations, I would appreciate it. I would like at least 300 prims, with no more then $1000L a week rent. Thanks!

well the sim i live in is double prim..i just put two 512's together for 1k a week and 468 prims i believe..i can't remember the prim count but with two lots it was 400 something prims and in a very good region with great sim owners..
look for skybeam in the search..i know they are filling orders for another sim but i think there are still openings around..
oh and it is commercial and residential zoned as well.

There's some real cheap land for sale in monarch next to fenric. It's mainland... one lot is 3K ...and it's a lot better than renting you end paying less...

Try New Charm City

Not many places open, but I have a 300 prim townhouse for L$ 800 a week. Contrary to other comments, I prefer renting (after owning up to 32K on both private estates and mainland). In this case, the estate owner is very involved, often at the local bar talking to other residents. She does the work outside my townhouse and keeps it orderly. Nice town square, reasonable bar, a just a few commercial places, mostly residential, like an orderly urban residential community.

So search on New Charm City and check it out. The rental office has the owners name and she keeps a waiting list when necessary. This week there have been openings - which is why I am finally there.

If you went up a bit, to L$ 1200 a week, I am now giving up a great houseboat (with great regrets) that gives 500 prims. More 'stuff' than I have now, but I am renting two offices going to one, the houseboat, a home (on eTopia, a great place, but 200 prims max for L$ 750 and most places have 'vanishing walls' at angles) and a 'home office' at New Charm City, and cutting back one office (keeping the one on eTopia, which I think is a great place for an office), one home (eTopia) and one home office (NCC). If the houseboat interests you at all (you can sail a boat from the houseboat to two open ocean sims), check my av's picks in SL or IM me tomorrow morning or evening. I haven't abandoned it yet, and I could give it up if you wanted it. Will miss the bar on the top deck...

Although I own a Mainland plot, I rent on Munkie Island. It looks real nice there and has a public beach. There's no cost for the land; you just pay the rent. It's where I feel at home.

The 1024sqm I have is L$585 a week (the first time you pay 2 weeks up front). There are bigger plots as well.

Another part of the sim group is Eternal Calm (PG), where I started. It is residential only. Same price and terms otherwise. When Munkie Island debuted, many of us who wanted to sell or display vends moved there from EC. Now EC is enjoying a renaissance of new residents.

If you're serious about a nice home then check out their covenants.

The 1024 falls a little short of your prim target at 234. Check out the other plots available in each.

We can accommodate you! At least, we can rent you a place within your prim and price budget. Or if you don't like the Mediterranean flavor we offer, I *have* seen actual "white picket fence" suburban developments in SL.

Hi, we have just got 5-6 quite large houses for rent in an island paradise, not quite ready yet!
there 1000 a week. Discount for 3 weeks or more, we give u 400 prims, but u also get free access to the facilities at our adjacent land, sea life, surfable waves, hidden caves, helicopter tours, fishing, and a tiki party bar. Sorry not a suburbia, but u can put up your own picket fences u like. lol

The place I rent, on Agrestic, is not suburbia but it is quiet and pleasant; for L$995 a week you get a 2048m parcel with 468 prims, which I think is quite a bargain. It's covenant for residential only. Each side of the sim is bordered by another sim of open ocean so theres places to go sailing and surfing. And it's fairly new, so there are a lot of empty parcels, even waterfront ones, still. I took one on the west side of the island so I get to watch the sun set over the sea. Bliss.

forget expensive SL and move to OpenLife Grid where you get 45,000 prims per sims, mega prims at will (up to 100m) at $75/month + $15 1 time setup fee.
