The new regular client IS Windlight-enabled.

I have no suggestions for the yellow sky.

They rolled Windlight out on the main viewer with 1.19.1.

What version were you running before? If it was one of the Release Candidates, you wouldn't notice much in the way of changes.

Windlight plus yellow skies equals an out of date driver. I'll wager odds you have an ATI video card. My last laptop had an ATI card and yellow skies. I had to use a hack program to allow me to update drivers directly from ATI rather than Dell, whose drivers were 3 years old.

Let me know if this fits your situation and I'll drop you a link to the fix.

You actually thought those yellow drops were rain? No, it's just what the Lindens do to their customers... that's why the sky is yellow...

I dont know what the actual answer is.. I just know LLs response was at best...flaccid.

That's a very good way to put it, and now I know why we still haven't seen the promised blog entry...

...the Lindens are still waiting for their shipment of Lie-agra to come in to firm up their flaccid reasoning.

Glad that fixed it. I had a Radeon X600 with the same issue. I got a new laptop right after the client update and I'm running an Nvidia card now.
