I just put together a new system - Athalon X2 64 4400, 2GM RAM and an EVGA 8600 GT 256 graphics card. I can't believe the improvement. I was previously using a system that barely worked with SL. I probably looked like a drunken sailor trying navigate doorways and stairs And I was probably one of those people accused of pushing because I couldn't move around very well. I use Windlight almost all the time now and am amazed at the visual affects. I never realized how populated my neighborhood was until I looked around with the draw distance turned up. The client is pretty stable even with most of the graphics options set near max. Very little lag, 25-40 FPS. One thing I still notice is in areas around the Imperial Forest I sometimes loose control of my AV. He'll walk away on his own including walking underground for a while, then resurfacing. My question is what causes the dark bands in the sky? I can move the sky slider back and forth and find a setting near the max the doesn't have them, but I 'm curious what causes them. Also what about installing the newest Nvidia 8 series driver (169.21)? I was ready to do this, but read of some problems with other games in the forums. Is anyone using it and are there problems? I tend to keep drivers updated, but this system is running well and if there's driver problems, I'll leave well enough alone.

Dunno the technical reason for it, but I havent updated windlight so I haven't seen em =/
