31.12.2009. Second Life cannot be accessed from this computer!
I contacted LL and got this reply "I am going to escalate this ticket to the appropriate department and they will contact you shortly via email regarding your request."
5th Jan 2010. I still can't access SL and LL have not contacted me at all.
I don't know what to do. For me SL is/ has been such a great escape from RL (which is pretty miserable for me).
I ahve been told by someone here that it will be found to be a mistake and all will be will in the end, possibly.
I have done nothing wrong, (that I know of!) and the reason for non-access is not associated with my account but my IP address, so why am I still not able to access SL? I don't understand. HEEEELP!

Contact them again, and reference the previous support ticket.

Sometimes, it resolves itself, but from the sounds of it, it's not going to do that for you.
The message is a generic one for both IP or hardware hash bannings. If rebooting the modem didn't fix it, then yeah, LL is the only ones that can fix that. I don't know if you have a premium account, but if you do, try the Live Chat and reference the support ticket you opened.

Just to make sure, is the email address LL has on file the correct one, and did you check your spam folder?

Restart your modem and router - often that will clear this particular error. Worth a try anyway.

It has happened to me twice since I rezzed (lucky me). You are unable to get in from a certain computer with any account, but you can log in elsewhere, right?
You submit a support ticket ..... after a few days you get a message that the appropriate people (usually the g-team) are the only ones that can handle it, the rep handling your ticket says you are in their queue but they can not tell you anything else.
Filing new tickets and contacting live 'help' is a good way to blow off steam, but it does not really help.
Eventually (entirely at their whim) someone smiles on your ticket and you can get in again. Although they probably will not let you know when you can get in, so keep trying. If they say anything it is just some vague statement that it had nothing to do with you. [Translation: they banned the IP range of a griefer and joy of joys you are in the same address range, or maybe someone did a typo.)
