Can't see yellow text for camping spot?

Hello,

I'm brand new to SL. I'm also fairly poor with a total of $5L to my name.

I've found a couple of camping spots in an effort to make a little money. I've joined the group, placed them on my picks and as far as I can tell I'm all set to camp for a bit to make a little starter cash.

However, when I start to camp I get a message asking me to click the text button that matches the "floating yellow text". The problem is - I do not see the floating yellow text.

I've zoomed in and out, up and down, checked chat and looked everywhere I know to look.

Is there some setting I need to change to make it visisble - or some special spot I need to look?

that being said, camping is actually a waste of time and money, you spend way more on electricity for your computer than what you make in the same time by camping.


The easiest way towards some l$ is simply buying them. the net value of a mac donalds hamburger already buys you a few hundred L$...

I agree with above post.
However you don't need $L in SL at all, depending on what you want to do in it. If you're going to create content then I guess you need to borrow, camp, or win through a lucky chair detector HUD a few hundred $L as a starter fee for uploading textures, but if you're not going to create, there are sooooo many places for QUALITY free items, both online and in-world; and no they're not the garbage found in places like freebie island or whatever, they're actually promotional gifts or group gifts given out by store owners, that would otherwise be for sale. Searching online in blogs or joining groups is the best way to get those gifts. Oh and those gifts aren't always clothing, they could be furniture, accessories, weapons, hair or even naughty bits.
