The clubs where classy dancers are appreciated and can make money without having to resort to practically shagging themselves on stage?

I mean the ones that are more about teasing and tempting, than onstage gyno exams?

Do these places exist?

Is there a market for them?

Or should I be resigned to finding another line of work cos I refuse to stoop to that level?

Just wondering.

Used to be a place called Pinups like that

Stylized as a Burlesque place.

Course there were two places and only 1 was like that.

Don't know if they are still in business though. Probably not.

-------------

Anyway if not, try searching on Burlesque instead of Dancer or Stripper.

Interesting thing to ask.

First let me preface this: I believe in everyone doing their own thing. If people want to enslave themselves to each other, get off on abuse, sell themselves for money, abase themselves - it's a free grid. Not any of my business.

As such, I doubt anything like a nightclub singer or dancer would easily exist in an environment where you can buy a gorean slavegirl for the price of fast food.

But... you asked for thoughts and advisement.

Which is this: get as far away from any such business as you possibly can. I'm sure you have other talents.

I have seen clubs where Dancers weren't pushed to escort, House of V had Dancers that weren't escorts, is the only one I can think of, I need to stop building, get out and explore naughty places a bit more :)
Why is that level stooping? Prostitution isn't dirty, many people aren't married/partnered and don't necesarily want to be.

I dance at a club where the dancers are treated wonderful. We dance...no escorts etc. There is security personnal to ensure we are not harassed or made to feel uncomfortable. We chat in the room, welcome patrons etc. Yes there are clubs, you just have to search for them. Talk to DJ's, they are up on all types of clubs.

Well the club I dance in will eject and ban you if you are known to be selling yourself in anyway since it's a free sex room.

Dancers get 100% of tips and although some girls have different styles, there's no pressure to do anything other than dance and tease and my personal choice is to entertain. It's also one of the most popular places in the search and is hiring.

Try The New Champagne Rooms.

It's a retro burlesque place. The men are dashing in tuxes, the women elegant in evening gowns. The hostesses actually talk with the guests. The dancers do classic burlesque, like fan dances...not just make love to a pole. There's no nudity...except maybe a few seconds, right at the end of the dance.

The music is old style, too...but a lot of the songs have suggestive lyrics and double entendres.

Des...I think there IS a market for this kind of place. I found it so much fun, and a classy, refreshing change from the hardcore dance/escort clubs that you see everywhere.

[EDIT: You of all people should appreciate this. After all, you Victorians have got it set up so that your forehead gets all sweaty if I show you my (admittedly comely) ankle.]

I started out as a dancer & stripper, i have many friends who also dance & strip and dont escort (but hey whatever floats your boat- i have no problem with escorts at ALL).

Footwork is whats required...I used to use search for employment & jobs ...clubs usually advertise... I used to go and chat to the girls who were working, see how they came across, send in the application, interview and see what the owner was like- not fast but always worth the time. For the life of me I cant recall the 20's style club I worked for a while, it was really cool , sorry :(

Have to say I was very well treated in all the places I worked, it was fun - like partying AND getting paid, used to pay my weekly rent on a super cool beach house, heady days :)
Hope you find what youre after- good luck!

The New Champange Rooms

Thank you Miss Kidd! We enjoyed having you in our audience. To answer your question, Miss Snoodle, The New Champagne Rooms is a traditional Burlesque Theater that features dancers who perform for our patrons during 5 shows a week. We tantalize and tease in a tasteful striptease and just enjoy interacting with the guests who also enjoy interacting with each other. But the dancers are only allowed to go down to topless... we don't allow full nudity.

We just celebrated our one year anniversary at our current location and are having great fun every week. So my personal opinion is that there is a market. It's full of delightful people who enjoy class with just the right touch of sass. If you'd like to swing by and visit, I'd be happy to show you around!

I'm sure there are some lesbian clubs or something where that sort of thing is appreciated. The rest of just want to see titties and want to see them now.

Pinups is still in business and going strong. They moved it to the Retrology sim. Love that place.
