Yes, I've been reading the Knowledge Base and all else and I'm still a bit confused about how to get my Lindens OUT of inworld. Nothing seems to be written particularly clearly, at least in my opinion.

I sold my land, I now have quite a chunk of change there and don't want it sitting around for me to randomly waste. Which I could very easily.

I'm assuming I need to have a check sent to me.

So, could someone explain this in simple terms? I just don't understand why their instructions have to be so wordy and time consuming. They make it such a long, convoluted thing to read and frankly I'm pretty darn smart but by the time I was done with it I was more confused than when I started. I'd like to just see something like: a) do this; b) do this; c) do this and that's it. I don't need paragraphs of info to do something which seems like it should be a simple task.

Thanks!

Go into your account, and click Linden Dollar Exchange near the bottom of the left column. On the next page, click Sell L$ (left column of graphic) and take it from there. It costs 3% to do the exchange.

That gets your money into US$. It's a new page and I'm looking to see where the link is to have a cheque sent or to have the US$ payed inot your PayPal account. It used to be on the Sell L$ page but it seems to be hiding from me.

My mistake - it's on your account page, where it always was. Clicking Process Credit on your account page, will provide you with information about having the US$ sent to you, and allow you to do it.

I did this once it was pretty quick. They do I think charge you 3% back to convert it to credit on your account. What was nice they can take you monthly fees out of this if you would like or issue a credit back to your paypal account. Good Luck. :)

When I did it through SL, it took maybe 3 weeks for me to get my money (to paypal)
When I did it through SLExhange, it took maybe 2 days to do the same.

Guess which one I suggest? XD

Have always done it with Lindex and have never had an issue with timing.

At SLExchange I normally have my money in PayPal, ready to be used with my PayPal debit card, within 5 minutes or so. It's the ultimate in convenience.

Yes, I've been reading the Knowledge Base ....

I don't know which pages in the knowledge base you've looked at, but the page on selling lindens on the LindeX seems pretty straightforward: https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417 . It has, right near the top, the three simple steps for doing a market sell on the LindeX.

The part that's missing is what happens after you sell your credits. That's much harder to find, because a) there's no reference to it on the Sell Lindens page cited above, and b) it's not under the LindeX subheading in the Knowledge Base index (but it is under the Linden Dollars heading as well as the My Account heading), and c) it's called 'How can I use my US dollar balance', which isn't the sort of catch phrase you'd be looking for. Adding to that, once you get there it's under the heading 'Process Credit', which also isn't the sort of catch phrase you'd look for. (The page in question is https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417)

But once you get there, it points to the Process Credit page, at https://secure-web0.secondlife.com/account/process-credit.php?lang=en , and this page is also pretty straightforward.

So, while I agree that it's hard to find all of the information, and I don't think there's a high level overview, I really don't understand why you're calling it long and wordy. Are you using some other mechanism to find this information?

Don't know which world your living in but that's 'long, wordy and utterly confusing'
