I went to the appearance part of the island tutorial, but i can't figure out how to just make my character look normal. I have these ridiculous tattoos and only Furry clothing and because of the way this game is setup I can't just delete this character and make a new one. How can I make my character look normal?
when i press blank on tattoos and stuff it just covers the skin in all gray and white and other crap im so confused.

Okay - this is completely correctable!
In the library there are all the avatars that were available to you on sign up
Open you inventory open the library ..
I believe its under clothing. Just going by memory, but it is one of the subfolders there under Library.
Find a folder that says something like "Male shape and outfit" or "Night Club" , etc.
And right click "wear" all the items in that folder. You will be human again in no time.

If you look in the Library folder in Inventory, all of the default avatars are there...I think under Clothing. Edit: Damn it, Colette!

The weekly stipend comes out on Tuesdays. Assuming no glitches.

BUT you will get $300L on Tuesday. And every Tuesday after that for as long as you are a paying member. You can stop paying and still have a basic account basically any month you wish - basic accounts don't get and spending money automatically, but can access all the same areas of Second Life.

And also just be warned $270L = $1US at the moment, so your $300L doesn't go far, there's heaps of free stuff about and you can learn to make your own stuff at classes you will find under SEARCH > EVENTS > EDUCATION, there's even a cool NOTIFY button that can send you a Teleport 5 minutes before the events start. Nothing wrong with being a furry, a large proportion of SL's best content creators have tails

<----
As someone who has been in SL for over a year, I cann tell you this. Unless you want to own land, tyou're really not going to see much value from "paying" for SL. In fact, that monthly fee could be better spent buying L$ directly. You can rent land of you want some (very often for less than the cost to buy it). and can even buy land from Estate owners.. however there are some pitfalls there, you have to be careful which estates you trust.
In terms of SL enjoyment, unless your goal is to own mainland.. you're really going to have more fun if you ditch the paid membership, and spend taht money on L$ for toys, clothes, and fun.

But "Furious Nacht" is such an incredibly RIGHT name for a Furry character.
I say, play to your strengths.

Furious Nacht was Van Gogh's most overlooked painting.

Serious kudos to Furious for finding this place and the solution to the problem so fast. I'm sure I'd have wandered around with the box on my head - I mean furry av - for a couple of days.
