hi i am scripter and i wanted to know if the game i going to create is considered as gamble and does it forbbiden by SL. first 2 games i saw in SL: 1. league of fencing "Engurde" where u place money play vs people and the winner get the first prize of about 5k 2. object where u place money play game and the best score of the day get prize
both of the game are a lot of time in SL so i belive linden aprove them
my game is like this: board game like chess where if u win is absoultuly skill and no luck where u and your rival can bet up to 20L$ . the best win no luck involved. does it forbidden cause of the gamble rule and so how the examples i found are ok? especially number 2?

Nobody really wants to speak for the Lindens on this, but FWIW what you describe looks like it should pass the "skill-based" test. If you want to be extra careful, make it so *nothing* is random about the game--not even the assignment of which player goes first. And even more cautious: don't have anything depend on timing or speed (I don't know of an occasion where this has been considered "gambling" but technically, pseudo-random numbers can be obtained from timings).

Your best bet is to ask at the Governance meetings, I tink. Mari

There is already an En Garde game in Second Life. It might be wise to have a look at it so you don't just reproduce what someone has already done.

If the board game is truly like chess in the sense that has no random elements affecting the outcome then it's ok.

A skill game is OK - if I understand correctly.. As long as it’s not random But then again isn’t everything random?
