Please, can anyone help me please Hello Kelly, have you perhaps been playing with some preferences/settings? I think there's a toggle in preferences for enabling online content along with music and video streams? Sorry I'm not at my home machine but is there a menu item or preference for showing flying animation? I'm clutching at straws here but I know there's a heck of a lot of options there that baffle me.

Hi Kelly, Not sure about your first question. Sounds like a prefences thing. As to your second question.... are you walking or running? This may seem silly, but could you have accidentally pressed "always run"? Good luck /me waves ....afternoon Bilbo

Running does move the avatar faster than walking, although not as much faster as one would expect from the frenetic default running anim! (It also makes the avatar clumsier: it'll trip over the slightest bump that it would step right over while walking.) But, no, "always run" changes walking, it doesn't apply when flying up, down, or sideways (according to my test, anyway). As for the problem... this is the second weird animation question on the front page right now, and same questions apply: Do other people see the same anomaly? Does it occur in other sims? Does it still occur after a "Detach All"?
Oh... on the web thing: if it's not an SL preference thing, it *could* be a browser thing, too, but it depends on OS and the specific browser, how it knows to launch when "asked" by SL. (I have one machine where it only works if Firefox is already running, and another where it will launch a new Firefox if it has to; I've never bothered to figure out just why.)

I think Kelly and I were talking about SL but that's the thing; whatever your animation is doing, the ground seems to scroll at the same speed regardless, like you're walking large strides or running short steps!

I had a similar question from a noob on my land yesterday, "why do i fly too fast?" "well whats that your holding in your hand?" "it's my watch" "no not your left hand, the right one" "dunno" "where did you get it" "dunno, was there when I logged on" "hmmm, ok click it and detach" Ten minutes later "why do I fly so fast?" "remove the object form your right hand and I don't think you will anymore" "ok ok I'm doing it" "how do I do it" "click on it and choose detach" "ok now fly" "oh great back to normal thanks, so why did I fly so fast?"

The only thing that helped me get to websites again was to upgrade to the newest IE.
