account transfer??

I was hoping someone could give me answers. I am being harrassed and I have filed AR after AR on the person responsible. I believe 10 ARs now total. I went to a Liason who said if I gave him the AR numbers he could pass them directly to someone in the right place. Well nothing has been done yet. This has been going on since July. I can't take the abuse anymore. Is there a way to start over and transfer my inventory to my new AV? This is the only thing I can think of to get it all to stop. If anyone has any suggestions please help. Thank you.

Unfortunately not. You have to create a new account, but obviously you won't be able to pass your no-transfer items to it.

Not sure how long ago it was you contacted the Liaison, but you might want to make contact with said Linden at their next office hours, so you can get an upate.

You may be able to get your name changed. You can pay to do it but LL might do it for free given the circumstances.

You could then possibly be able to hie from them (unless someone outs you).

Getting your name changed won't necessarily do you any good since your avie's key remains the same. A simple 1 line script would tell them your new name once you seemingly dissapear off search.

Assuming the harrasser was forward thinking enough to have obtained the agent key to begin with. I'm betting not.

That's where Name2Key databases come in. Most of them don't care whether the information is up to date, it's stored once and never removed.

I thought there were half a dozen bad entries when I first looked at the full list, but when I asked the list owner it turned out those were all just people who's name had changed.

That's the technical aspect anyway, the social aspect tends to be a lot more visible. If you act the same way, type the same way (if you use voice you're out of luck altogether), dress the same, visit all the same places you do now then you'd be giving yourself away already.

It might be easier for the OP to describe just how she's being harrassed and sollicit ways to cope and deal with it.

Sorry to hear about your trouble Melar! I would suggest you just create a new account/avatar. Although you won't be able to transfer any inventory items from your old character that are 'no transfer' it probably won't cost you too much to buy them again. I once worked out how much it would cost me to do this and in real money it wasn't that much. Certainly not much when compared to the relief you should get from not getting hassled anymore. If you go the route of creating a new account, make sure that you only trust the knowledge of your previous identity to people you know aren't still associating with your stalker. You'll also want to find new places to live and hang out, or the guy who's harassing you is liable to figure out the connection between you vanishing and the "n00b" who appeared the very next day.

Knowing a few who have done this as well as reading the tales here, it quite sickening that someone has to go through all these hoops to enjoy SL in peace when they have dobne nothing wrong, and the dickheads causing the problems go on their merry way. It's a major flaw that should be fixed somehow.
