A thread was talking about low prim stuff earlier and it got me thinking. On the little skybox my gf and I are renting now, we've got 50 prim to spare to make the garden look nice. Nice being some colourful planting, useful seating, fires or torches, trees, boulders or anything really that has a bit of a wow factor and uses up the space effectively.

The skybox is fully furnished. I'll be tabbing low prim places up this weekend anyway, but in the meantime I would welcome any ideas on this little plot (only about 18x18m. square) and the best places to furnish same with outside fixtures. Palm trees and hammock, orange grove etc...so you get the general idea :)

Thanks in anticipation

If you have signatures turned on you could have a loot ain my store. The Outdoors Furniture section is on the top floor (of 2), at the north end. You can't miss it. I don;t do plants but i specialise in low prim furniture. If you don't have signatures turned on, it's Prim Savers - you can find in search..

Hiya Fox,
Two of my stores could cater to you: Paradise Found sells 1 prim plants in all sorts, and 1 prim garden lamps. Sampireun Design sells for example 3 prim picknick tables, and 1 prim garden benches. Take a look and see if you find something you like ;)

When I'm wandering around the web and stumble onto people's gardens, assuming they're not ejecting me with a security bot (as if they are doing something really important that I give a damn about), I enjoy it when their gardens are lush, with minimal seating, fires and other frou-frou.

The 1 prim sculptie plants are great for this. my own garden would look a bit sparse without them. I may have gone overboard with too much greenery, but that's what I enjoy.

I also enjoy very subtle sparse nature sounds - the occasional insect chirp, but not that ubiquitous loud birdsong you here everywhere in SL, often in inappropriate places. Maybe some soft wind chimes are nice, as are understated particle blossoms blowing in the breeze. All these are very relaxing to me.

I've done a lot of perusing garden shops lately. I'll send you some LM later. I can't think of names offhand.

Most plant or garden stores have 1 prim plants, though.

There are all types of garden benches and such; I'll try to send some LM for those, too. I advise looking around quite a lot before you choose each piece.

While you're looking around, have a look at Pocket Gardens, made by Carter Denja and Stormy Alvereaux. I tend to like putting together my own look, but the Pocket Gardens are quite nice.

Also, for some interesting garden sculptures/structures, have a look at Extraordinaire. I found a great elephant fireplace there, and some interesting fountains. I don't ever see them mentioned very much, but I like their stuff.

That was going to be my suggestion too, Pocket Gardens, I have a couple, they are so sweet, and include a bench, a cuddle pose or 2, couple other things, depending on the one you choose. I also have some real nice 2 prim plants from Marcel, and some stuff from Prim Savers (Phil's) around my sim and personal land too.

I have over 250 different original 1 prim plants in my garden centre on Tin Teddy island. They are all home-made so totally original to my store and this also means that if you want something I haven't yet made, I can do it for you - including fantasy plants etc.

They are all modify and copyable - and cheaper than many transfer-only plants of the same quality. Oh, and there are also boxed sets of themed plants (ie American Trees or Japanese Garden Plants) which work out even cheaper.

Here ends my sales pitch - I cringe at doing shameless plugs, but I DO have lots of low prim plants.

BTW - if you do fancy any of them, send me an IM and I will refund you half the price as a little pressie :-)

Oh heck and you're another one, lol. I have some really nice patio/pool furniture from you, and remember being shocked to see how low prim it was. Sigh. sooo many great creators, sooo little time.

Just stumbled across this thread and wanted to thank Nic and Treasure for mentioning our place. :)

Another place to look for nice low-prim garden accents is Cory Edo's place, Trompe L'Oeil.
