Building Question?

So having worked in a sandbox for a while, happily linking my first build together, a griefer struck, so I linked my objects, and as things got so bad, I simply clicked TAKE and it vanished, I moved to another spot, and .... I can't find the linked prims in my inventory. What have I done wrong? Do I have to start again?

They were a collection of various objects - lighting truss and lights, etc.

They should be in your inventory and the icon will look slightly different to a normal object icon, if you didn't name it, then it will be called object.

Have you checked recent items?

Could the autoreturn of happened just at that moment to? Have you checked your trash and lost and found folder? You may have hit delete by accident if it got hectic with the griefing

When you open your Inventory click sort> select "by date" and unselect "folders always by name" and "system folders to top."

This will arrange your folders by the last item you put into your inventory. Check the top folders and be sure to look in "lost and found" because I'm not sure that this way sorts that folder with all the rest.

If this does not work then most likely you have lost your build but there is a slight chance that it will appear in a few days.

This does not always work the way it should but worth a try.

Agreed, I stopped using it quite some time ago because it became just a tad unreliable but it's worth a shot

Is this a case for clearing your cache, relogging to a nice quiet sim, re-fetching your inventory by typing a space into the search bar at the top of the window and being patient while it rebuilds itself? I'd advise a second opinion on this first, though.
