I've often had connection problems with Ajaxlife, with their servers being down a lot, so I stopped using it quite a while ago. I had not heard of any ban and can only guess that maybe the Ajaxlife software is violating some security or other rule.

Blue has commented before about using ajax himself so I doubt they really have a problem with it.
The IP was banned a few weeks ago, two possible possible reasons...one greifers were using it....or two LL finnaly decided to put out their own text client which I doubt because they haven't shut down sparkle |

Yes, LL did not like AjaxLife. Metabolt is just as good. Give it a try.

Don't doubt this. LL loves shutting down resident competitors by offering their own service. GOM, ftw. I would agree except last month I was on a mission to try to talk them into it...especially on mobile phone (android, iphone, rim) talked to blue, jack, and any other linden that would listen and tried to at least track down who was in charge of SLim but they were all very non reciptive which is a shame because being an android user the only choice I had was running ajax due to lack of anyone deving anything for android and meta not working through my browser |

It's just the usual open proxy problem, if you can't or don't control access then eventually someone upstream will :/

It's just the usual open proxy problem, if you can't or don't control access then eventually someone upstream will :/ it would make sense from gteam point of view account banning for alt abuse is pointless so they ban the ip, support then unbans the ip because of the nature of ajaxlife, sooner or later someone gets fedup and pushes for a ban that can't be reversed hope it has not come to that yet |

I thought that because AjaxLife was powered by Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, it would use a range of IP addresses. If they banned all of Elastic Cloud, I'd say "eep!"
Instead of an IP ban, it could be this... private static string MacAddress = "00:00:00:00:00:00"; the mac address 00:00:00:00:00:00 being blacklisted was a problem that plagued libsecondlife developers for a while... Newer versions of the lib are supposed to be able to get the correct hardware hashes for you _____________________
