Griefing attak...makes my SL viewer crash

Hello,

today there were some ppls in a sandbox, suddenly my friend and me heard a strange sound that was very loud and we could not stop it. I pulled the sound slider in the control task bar to the left but it was still there. My friend and me could not move anymore, all was very laggy because of this strange sound. Then my viewer crashed - same to my friend. I loged back to Sl at the same place - and the sound was still there- could not move anywhere - some seconds later my viewer crashed again - so my friend.

I reloged back to my home location and all was ok. I didnt know who did make this attac to us.

Does anybody know what this is and how to locate the source?

you would have to still be in the sim in order to track down what the sound was or where it was coming from. the source, however, is clear: a person, or persons, who have a noted impotence in life and have found the slightest "power" in SL by projecting their own dissatisfaction onto others through disruptions. i feel more pity than anything else for griefers, trolls of the virtual worlds. they must lead, or rather follow, a very sad existence.
