Are underground objects lost?

Is it possible to "lose" objects underground? I have some unaccounted for prims and I am wondering if they may have acidentially been placed below the surface. They are my objects - but they do not show in "show obects" except by count. My land sits at about 98 meters. Is it possible object are unseen below ground? If so, short of returning every thing, how can I access them? Please advise. Thanks in advance!

Go to client and disable camera constraints. This will let you pan below ground level. Also, on the about land tab, use the refresh name button. Then select your name. This will highlight all the prims on the land you own.

I'm not inworld at the moment, but if you bring up your tools menu, (or is it view?) there is a way to turn off viewing the land, so that you can see stuff "underground." Also, don't forget to check the sky. Sometimes stuff ends up 700 m in the air for no good reason.

Yes, it's possible to lose objects underground. If they belonged to others, they *might* show up in the "show objects" process from About Land (no guarantee - sometimes "show" just doesn't work for any other-owned objects).

There's another possibility or two, however: The "missing" objects may be transparent and above ground. (Turn on show transparent.) They may be solid but high in the sky. (Try turning on "show" your objects and look up - if they're big enough, the glow will be visible)

The biggest problem I've had was with tiny things lying right in plain sight (plain if you could get down and look through a magnifier, that is). In a couple of cases, it was a scripted something to be worn which was accidentally rezzed on the ground.

If the number of prims is significant, and nothing else works, here's a wild proposal:
Create an alt account, sell your land to the alt, transferring everything you can see to the new owner, then have the alt "return" anything still shown as yours, then sell back to you. WARNING: Set the "for sale to" name before setting the price, or a land-bot will steal the land in an instant.

shift+control+alt+5 will toggle the ground visible and invisible.
Only if you have the debug menus active. Press Ctrl-Alt-Shift-D to get the debug menus, and then C-A-S-5

(Yes, I know one of those meta-keys in the "debug on" command isn't needed but it has changed often enough that I can't remember)
