I have gone through pages and pages looking for an answer to my question. It seems like it would be fairly self explanatory but the FAQs are not much help.
Basically, I am moving my business due to a landlord giving up the sim I was renting on. I am looking at some mainland and I found a decent PG parcel. However, I am not sure what can be allowed on PG.
There is no nudity shown on the signs for my clothing, tho some of it is pretty sexy (strap outfits and such). Would I be ok with a PG parcel since I am not showing nudity, or, because I outfits that I may be selling are quite sexy, should I just go with a Mature parcel?
Is there any actual benefit for going with PG versus Mature?

I guess the advantage to PG over Mature is that your adverts will be visible to everyone, and not just to people who've chosen to view Mature adverts, as opposed to PG only. How many potential customers for sexy outfits will, in fact, not have chosen to see Mature adverts is another question.
For what it's worth, I'd go with a Mature rating, since you know that way you're not open to criticism.

Well I can't help you on the maturity rating you need because LL's vision of PG and mine differ it seems, at one point they wanted social references to alcohol deemed as mature.
As for the advantages of PG v Mature, if your store is on mature land and you don't set the "Mature Content" flag, it appears in PG search anyway.

People who search Mature only or Mature/Adult won't see anything on PG land. How many people actually do that is likely to be low I'd imagine.

Also, think ahead. Moving business is a dreadful job, so you do not want to do it too often You might go sexier in the future, and have a conflict with the PG. I'd say go with mature, and there are plenty parcels for sale against low prices at the moment!

Thank you guys so much for the suggestions. I think I can make a decision now. I've been searching for the last 5 hours then I decided to go ahead and just ask. You're right, to avoid criticisms and to avoid having to move in the future I think mature is the way to go.
Again, thank you guys!

From: Ciaran Laval People who search Mature only or Mature/Adult won't see anything on PG land. How many people actually do that is likely to be low I'd imagine. It includes me. I usually have PG unchecked because I wish to avoid certain things that squick me, like child avatars - which tend to mostly persist in those areas. Plus I sort of assume that the things that will interest me are more likely to be found on mature, and unchecking PG just removes some search clutter. I'd agree with calling that mature. One thing that always bothered me back when I played WoW was the over-pressence of alcohol in a game marketed to tweens and teens. I'd restrict it to Zindra, personally... and move the porn back to mainland.

You should look into purchasing a burka. No dancing either now, and laughter? Strictly forbidden!

If Mature Region parcels that don't have Mature checked are in PG search, you're likely to miss things like my store. How could you live with yourself after that?

Alcohol is an evil, sex is what we're built to do. I'm with Lao Tzu and Buddha on this one - the stuff pollutes the mind and soul, and destroys the body. Also leads to more violent crime than most illegal drugs. Prohibition proved outlawing these things is foolish, but that doesn't mean they aren't pure evil incarnate. Have to cut my losses on a bad search engine somewhere, and some of the stuff that goes on in PG land just freaks me out. - I end up over there when searching something or someone specific. But as a general, I avoid it.

But as a general, I avoid it. I don't normally pay much attention to maturity ratings when I'm using search, though that will maybe have to change now. However, without in any way wishing to re-open the debate about whether they should be there or not -- not in my shop, they shouldn't, and other people can set their own policies if they want -- I have to say I've seen more child avs on Zindra since it's opened than have I at the only PG place I spend a lot of time, the Particle Lab.
