Combat Systems for RPG Sims?

/me crawls out of the depths of school and paperwork and waves at the Forum.

Hey guys, remember me?

As some of you may remember I'm on an RPG project and working with trying to apply it to a SL sim....amongst other things. I'm in phase two and I need some 'Resident answers' as this 'Resident' is kinda lost.

I need to do some foot work on some Combat Systems available in different RPG sims. Ideally it needs to be able to do 'magic' and both 'ranged' and 'melee' weapons. I know about GM and GLM and where to get a copy of the meter....problem is, they don't do magic.

Anybody know any others and some LMs on where I could get a meter?

The goal is to find a system thats already been created, that I can use for ours.
Building and scripting a brand new system sounds...terrifying to say the least, and I wouldn't even know where to begin. My guess would be paying someone would cost an arm and a leg....and maybe a kidney too.

Depends on what you mean by magic. DCS2 does combat magic. There are various wands and other items that do special effects magic.

Mostly I'm looking for names of other combat systems so I can hunt them down myself and play with them in world.
