Hope you all had a great New Year's Eve, and will have a wonderful 2009.
I'm going to share a story. Brag a little might be accurate too? But this is something that frankly means a lot to me. Little background first. Tuna Oddfellow. Some of you may know who he is, some of you may not. Who Tuna Oddfellow is, is a magician in both RL and in SL, he has been on America's Got Talent, and through a contest held in-world in 2007, was also determined to be Second Life's most talented avatar when he won that, which I understand he won a million L$ for. So this man is absolutely not a nobody in Second Life. He does some awesome shows and I highly recommend going to them. So, that having been said..... Last night the Tuna was doing a marathon show and party for the Tunaverse on New Year's Eve, and I came to it after I was done DJ'ing elsewhere, as Baby New Year. With Tuna's permission, I set up a New Year's Eve ball dropper I'd put many hours into working on, and thought I'd just set the thing off for Midnight during his show and hope for the best. Tuna, however, had something else in mind. I didn't merely set the thing off while Tuna was doing his show. He was nice enough to stop the show, no more particle effects going on, none of that stuff, and pretty much leave everything open for just what I was doing. Yeah, that's right, I'm just an SL nobody, and this guy was decent enough to interrupt everything and let Yngwie do his thing. I loved it, I was thrilled, and well, it's just personally very important, wonderful way to start 2009. Anybody else have any good New Year's stories? |

...that big mean octopus dragon demon thingy. Don't let Cthulhu hear you call him that. BTW, little known factoid - Cthulhu and G'al are actually related. G'al's father was the uncle of Cthulhu's mother's cousin. Well, connected, if not actually related by blood. _____________________
