Did I almost tp to the teen grid last night?

I have been having some problems over the last few days when using any poseball. I try to sit on my sofa, using the sit poseball there, and I end up in 0,0,0 or (last night, for example) 36,172, -13 !! I arrive in these nether regions in total blackness, and after a few seconds, but can be up to a minute or so, I am back where I should be.

But last night, things got weirder. I rezzed my magic carpet to take a friend for a tour of Hoini, and we were in Voice Chat at the time. I clicked on the carpet, selected 'Fly', and went to the standard cross-legged position, then everything went black, and my position was reported as 0,0,0 (interestingly, we lost voice communication at this time, and it returned when my surroundings returned to normal). 'Here we go again' I thought. Then, I noticed something --- Usually I am in total blackness when this happens, but on this occasion I saw a piece of green text, like hover text, in green, floating in front of me, which said:

Chris - Age15 Genin

I am not certain about the word 'Genin', as I didn't note it down last night, but I typed the word into the Map search at the time and it was not a region in the adult grid.

Odd, or what?

PS I later visited 0,0,0 of my own free will to see if there were any lost prims there, or any hovertext. There wasn't.

I have ended up in the black when my isp speed slows right down. Sit down and I would shoot out to edge of the sim up in the sky (according to the mini map) and in pitch black. I didn't ever have floating text though.

However, what you saw is most likely just some hovertext from an item somewhere in the simulator, or a "ghost" object is at <0.0, 0.0, 0.0> for whatever reason.

I have seen hovertext from objects around me in a region, some of which I am aware of, and know exactly where they are, others, no idea, just that they're in the region somewhere.. there's no ryhme or reason to it that I have been able to tell, some kind of sorting bug in rendering I guess. These objects could be tens of meters away, and if my camera is just so, I will see their hovertext. Been happening forever, as far as I know.. Naw, you weren't in the teen grid.

"Genin" is the name for a young ninja from the anime "Naruto" - you probably saw the hovertext from someone's role-play HUD..
